of course he's right. The unfortunate sad part is there will NEVER be another Grateful Dead. You'd think if the magic could have been created once it could happen again. It probably will but not in my lifetime.

I'd still like to check them out although it's REAL hard to defend DSO when they charge more than I paid to see the real band ( and I'm not talking the 60's - 70's prices either ). It really makes me think they should get over themselves.

I bet they wish that Mikey had said this so they could have gone to playing strictly 71-74 : )

Comparing ticket prices of any grateful dead concert with what dso charges now is kind of like comparing apples and oranges.
but regardless, I saw them in november of 08 and they charged 30 bucks. It was one hell of a night of music, everyone in attendance seemed appreciative and had a grand time dancing like it was 1969. Now I dont no what they charge on a regular basis. but 30 dollars seemed PRETTY GOOD for the hell of a night of music they put on, (IT WAS GOOD).

DSO ROCKS

As for the people who say their not original, all i can say is who cares, they do what they do so well that it doesnt matter. Besides, whats wrong with doing something that somebody else already did, people obviously like it.
